Job Title: Salesperson & Cover Fitter
Location: Harwich, Essex
Hours: 40 hrs/week

Role

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled individual to join our team, combining sales expertise with hands-on technical work in the marine industry.

You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, prepare quotes, and deliver high-quality cover fitting, pattern making, and repairs for boats and related applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet customers, understand their requirements, and present tailored solutions.
  • Fit marine covers and frameworks to a high standard.
  • Produce accurate patterns and liaise with the machining team.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver an excellent service experience.
  • Seek out new sales opportunities and stay up to date with industry trends.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Sales experience (marine industry preferred).
  • Practical skills in cover fitting, pattern making, or related trades.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • A customer-first attitude and commitment to quality.

Job Title:  Laser Cutting Machine Operator (Trainee or Skilled)
Location: Harwich, Essex
Hours: 30 hrs/week (possible increase to 40)

Role

Operate and maintain our flatbed laser cutting machine (Blackman & White) to produce high-quality fabric parts. Work includes reading drawings, quality checks, and machine upkeep. Training provided.

 Responsibilities

  • Set up/operate flatbed laser cutter
  • Read cutting lists & drawings
  • Quality control checks
  • Routine maintenance & troubleshooting
  • Team collaboration
  • Keep workspace safe & clean

Requirements

  • Flatbed laser cutting experience (desirable, training given)
  • Technical drawing reading (desirable)
  • Detail-focused, quality-driven
  • Basic CNC & computer skills
  • Physically able to lift and handle materials
  • Reliable team player
