Cloth options for Cruising Sails

Stormlite

Designed for radial cut spinnakers. Easy to trim on beam-reach courses.

If you are a cruising yachtsman who is looking for a Code Zero or Reacher that is tough and can be trimmed easily, Stormlite is the most suitable cloth for you.

The combination of polyester yarn with melamine impregnation make Stormlite into a cloth that retains its shape better than spinnaker fabric made of nylon.

Stormlite retains its shape even under extreme conditions due to the high tensile strength of the polyester yarns.

The fabric also has improved durability because of its good UV resistance compared to nylon.

Nylite/Maxilite

Designed for radial cut spinnakers.

The exact balance of weight, stability, tear, strength, and breaking strain of Nylite and Maxilite cloths comes from the quality of the fibers, the weave, and the finish of their construction.

Nylite and Maxilite spinnaker fabrics are impregnated with a durable melamine finish and developed with the quality-concscious cruising sailor in mind.

The choice of Nylite or Maxilite fabric is determined by the size of your yacht and the conditions in which you want to sail.

Both types of fabric have excellent resistance to tearing and good stretch resistance and they will give you many years of great sailing performance.

Cloth Options for Racing Sails

Maxikote

Professional quality fabric for asymmetric spinnakers on lightweight racing boats.

Designed for radial cut spinnakers.

Maxikote spinnaker fabric is woven with polyester yarns and finished with our very stable and durable polyurethane coating.

The result is that Maxikote has very little elasticity and makes very form-stable sails due to its slow stretch.

The stability and the range of weights of the Maxikote series are designed so that your sailmaker can combine different weights of compatible cloth to achieve the best strength/weight ratio for your spinnaker.

Maxikote is specially designed to meet the specific performance requirements of asymmetric spinnakers on the latest generation light displacement yachts, dinghies and catamarans.

Code 0

The Code Zero GP line is taking the development of Code Zero high performance off-wind sails several steps further.

As Code Zero headsails are more and more on the rise across a number of rating rules, we has identified and answered the need for one single sail to cover broad wind ranges and angles through overall weight reduction without sacrificing load capability.

Code Zero GP are designed to shine in Grand Prix Racing.

They are engineered with a rugged black aramid warp Insert® and also X-PLY® for the highest thread line strength.

Combined with a high-count polyester fill for trans-directional stability, our experts again succeeded in creating another class leader for the market. Committed uncompromisingly to success, several characteristics give our CZ GP its unique performance qualities:

  • The film/film construction guarantees minimum moisture pick-up.
  • The semi-transparent appearance provides for increased visibility.
  • Low fill stretch and increased tear strength are achieved by a high count 500 denier fill scrim.
  • And last but not least, this leading Code Zero GP comes with a soft hand due to 0.75 mil film thickness.

It leaves nothing to be desired.

Superlite/Superkote

The Superlite and Superkote series together constitute a unique range of polyurethane-coated spinnaker fabrics that contain the right cloth for every type of spinnaker.

The stability and the range of weights of the Superlite and Superkote series are designed such that your sailmaker can combine different weights of compatible cloths to achieve the best strength/weight ratio for your spinnaker.

The polyurethane coating ensures high stability, low weight, 0% porosity and high water repellency.
